The weather on Sunday is looking good so I'm off on a local run through some minor roads as follows - starting at the P&R at 1100 then via the Crossroads hotel to Cushnie then cross country to Kildrummy, Glenkindie, Glenbuchat to have lunch at the wooden place in Corgarff. Then via Bridge of Gairn to Balmoral and down the South Deeside road home. Total miles 116. Any company welcome and I'll stop at the Crossroads Hotel if anyone wants to start there (about 1120/30).

Regards - Ian MacLean.

I'm toying with the idea of having a blast out west on Sunday. Didn't manage to make any of the October Sunday runs for a variety of reasons so I'm wanting to have one long run before the end of the year. Forecast is pretty good at the moment for the weekend - should be dry but maybe cold - especially out to the west. I'm thinking of perhaps riding out towards Ulllapool and see how far I get by lunch time. Leave Morrisons Inverurie around 9 am.

Round trip distance to Ullapool is 292.

Here's a rough guide for now - Leaving Kingswells P&R at 9.00 am - planned destination is to the Aonach Mor Gondola (via the Lecht - stop at Tomintoul Fire Station cafe on the way?) - fuel stop at Newtonmore - Return via south side of Loch Ness to avoid the motorists and Cabrach to home.

When we stopped there last time they were just closing their chipper and I asked if they would be willing to stay on 10 mins or so for us to get a bag of chips next time. They seemed keen. If enough folk are interested I could phone in advance to give them a rough idea of numbers and see if they would be as helpful this year.

Sounds like it could be fun and for a good cause. Original FM are due to be there along with other "entertainment"

Is anyone attending the BOOBS Run on Sunday 26th April? Starts at Duthie Park at around 12 midday I think. A nice wee run to Ballater. I believe soup and sarnies will be available and the end of the run for the ladies, but guys need to pay their way!

BOOBS (Babes Only On Bikes Scotland) is a charity motorcycle ride organised by Jean Elrick to raise funds for P.I.N.K a local breast cancer support group.

I really wanted to go, but I've double booked and can no longer make it. ...

For those of us who are not going to Aviemore and who fancy a run on Sunday, I'm planning a ride south in a loop of about 175 miles starting at 1100hrs at the P&R. Basically the route will go over the Cairn O Mount to Edzell/Kirriemuir/Blairgowrie (where we may meet up with the Aviemorites), then to Dundee and north by mainly smaller roads to return via the Slug.

Weather forecast not looking too good but I'm sure the sun will shine on Sunday - see you at the P&R.
