| Hmm - I think I might be interested in this - it might fit in well as the start of a longer journey I'm planning to make at the beginning if the school holidays. Pencil me in Mike. _________________ WE'RE DOOMED!

| I think Ian MacLean was looking to organise a kind of group run down to it. Not sure though. |

| Looks like we're getting a posse together! I have no worries about who 'organises' etc, if Ian is working something out that's fine, equally I am happy to put times etc... forward. Its only a run to Edinburgh, not like we'd be going 381 miles to the west coast!! Mmm; I think I'll leave those to the school teachers! Phil, consider yourself pencilled in! |

| Sounds good. I'm sure Ian has a route in mind if he's planning something. But while he's away here's a couple of suggestions. 1. Well there's always the coast road - Kingswells - Banchory - Slug to Stonehaven - then A92 all the way to the south of Dundee. Then across to Knockhill. Not sure what the route is like through Dundee as I usually go down the A90. 2. Cross Country?3. Or we could just go down the A90 and be bored stiff _________________ WE'RE DOOMED!

| The slug and the coast sound good to me. I was over Cairn o' Mount today and back up the coast road, its a great run and it would get my vote. From Dundee onwards, well I'm not too sure as I've never been to Knockhill before, tho' I'm sure we'd find it! Just follow everyone else! |

| Hi Folks - I'm away in July in Ireland so I'm not planning to visit Knockhill. That's a good route you got planned to Knockhill but it's best to go directly there and then take an interesting route home - I always return by Glenshee from Perth. The route through Dundee is to follow the Kingsway which basically skirts round the town. The easiest way to get there is down the M90 from Perth to the Kelty exit where Knockhill is signposted ,then, when you reach the tailback of cars, to filter up to the circuit as bikes can park round the track perimeter - early birds get best spots and take a puck for the sidestand. If you hang on to the last race it's not usually too bad getting out but watch for speed cameras on the way home. Ian. |

| Well if Ian's not going to be around I'm more than happy to lead a group on the Sunday. I'll propose a start time of 8.30 from Kingswells. If that's too early then I'm open to suggestions. Bearing in mind it's a good 2 and a half hours going down the A90 not counting any stops. Praying for weather - maybe I should do what I did for the Spean Bridge run and slaughter another goat? _________________ WE'RE DOOMED!

| Well I'm definitely up for going down but I thought we should be leaving earlier than that to be honest. In order to get a decent spot we probably want to be there by 10am latest don't we? I'm also well up for coming back via Glenshee, that's such a great route. So what's the consensus on timings? There doesn't seem to have been as much interest in this as I thought there would be. Is it just thee an' me Phil? |

| Sorry this is a late post but two of us are meeting at the Shell garage on the A90 just out of Aberdeen (just south of the Bridge of Dee) at 8 am tomorrow morning. Any other takers wanting to join in you will be most welcome. The Intention is to route down the coast and over the Tay bridge and expect to arrive around 10 - 1030 ish. Its not going to be a mad dash but a run to enjoy. I intend to stay until after the last race (1630 start) and set off back sometime before 1800 but each to their own. Hope to see a few tomorrow, Mike |

| Folks, Sorry for not keeping up with this post! The day was absolutely terrific, I really enjoyed it. I've been to Silverstone a few times for the F1 and even though the BSB isn't really in the same class, it is in a different league! The BSB was great, filled with action - a few crashes , no-one hurt other than in the pride stakes but that is par for the course. I was confident that on his great form Liam Camier would win both races and he didn't disappoint, if only I'd had the courage of my convictions and put money on him! I took a few pictures of the various racers as they passed our position and have put them into a 'photobucket', so if anyone wants to see them they should follow this link: http://s924.photobucket.com/albums/ad87/topter184/Knockhil%202009/Let me know if it doesn't work as its the first time I've used this feature. Cheers, Mike PS. Yeah, I know there's a spelling mistake! But just try and fix it!! |
