Hi Folks I am leading the run on Sunday to the Firestation at Tomintoul. At the moment I intend to meet to leave the P & R at 10:30 am. P & R - Crathes - lower Deeside Road - Ballater Break at Ballater Ballater - Corgarff - Tomintoul to the old Firestation for lunch (nice soup and cakes usually). Tomintoul via B9136 Strath Avon to Dufftown. Break at Dufftown, maybe - Rhynie Rhynie - Clatt - Leslie - Oyne (twisty back roads but were in decent condition last time I was there) Final coffee stop at Oyne then make your own way home. Oyne was especially chosen as there is a rumour going around that certain people missed out on the hot chocolate of the season if they went on the Sticky coastal run. P&R to Oyne about 120 miles. That's about 3 hours riding plus a couple more in total for breaks. Aberdeen folk should be home before 5pm. I'll try to get out and check the route later this week, so plans are provisional for now. Long range weather forecast seems OK so far.

The hot chocolate and funcy cakes at Oyne are only for the 'special elite' group who managed to remain with the leader. Remember to fit mirrors to bikes before the trip and know where they are! Will Diane find Oyne........................?

Di, Not sure if you intend to touch the road between Rhynie and Mossat, but last time I was up there, a couple of weeks now admittedly, there was a lot of chippings on the really good winding bends! The roads department really don't think of us do they. Nearly turned my nice new Fazer into a heap of scrap metal (no comments please!), but for luck and a good set of tyres. Anyway, just thought I'd warn you. Mike. PS. Might even join you if the weather's good.

Di I am looking forward to the run on Sunday as you are leading it. Do you have a large supply of Jelly Babies and more importantly have you updated your Sat Nav with the latest maps ? I know how good your sense of direction is Don't worry if you get lost as I have cycled the route many a time See you on Sunday Group Leader Dave

Sounds a good run. Hope to be there if the weather is OK. Don't know if I've to be home for 3PM-ish.

Ian suggested I go past the Bridge of Feugh carpark at 11 am on the run to pick up a few folk. Sounds like a plan. Anyone definitely wanting to be met at Bridge of Feugh carpark can they post here please, otherwise we won't wait? Not impressed by your touching lack of faith in my sense of direction gentlemen. Be , be very ! Only the selected few are getting my jelly babies after those little digs! Anyway, what's wrong with a magical mystery tour? I reserve the right to modify the route at every junction if the mood takes me! No offence taken or intended but can I ask that you don't call me Di please?

Great to have a "back-up" vehicle, Amanda. I'll have one/ maybe two, possible new members with me on Sunday. I'll fuel up at Culter at 10.30AM and meet the others at Banchory about 10.50AM.

Hi Guys. You may have seen the change of Banchory venue. It's now Bridge of Feugh carpark, because the main group will travel up the South Deeside Road from Crathes!!

Well spotted team - BRIDGE OF FEUGH car park it is at 11 am. Or P & R at 10:30 am kick off. I did the run today. There might be a slight change to the route on the day as the hump back bridge that I hate with a passion is closed for repairs. I'll check with the council later and see if the work has been finished. Oher than that the roads are all fine - a couple of patches of mud on the narrow ones and, typically for this time of year, the leaves are just starting to pile up and add to the challenge. Who are the new folk Cecil? Bikers we know but not yet joined the club, or folk new to biking?

Diane. Couple of lads my age group are interested in GMC. They've been at it for a long time and I'd a run recently with one of them who lives beside me. See you Sunday....
