| I'm toying with the idea of having a blast out west on Sunday. Didn't manage to make any of the October Sunday runs for a variety of reasons so I'm wanting to have one long run before the end of the year. Forecast is pretty good at the moment for the weekend - should be dry but maybe cold - especially out to the west. I'm thinking of perhaps riding out towards Ulllapool and see how far I get by lunch time. Leave Morrisons Inverurie around 9 am. Round trip distance to Ullapool is 292. Out via Huntly/Grantown/Inverness - back via Inverness - A96. Anyone interested? _________________ WE'RE DOOMED!

| Will consider it a bit later in the week - depends on the weather and family commitments (as always). Fingers crossed we are free. Will give a definite yeah or nay later |

| Not a problem. I think I've more or less decided to go out if it's reasonably dry. I've some new kit to try out (clothing and heated grips) so will just fetch up at Morrisons for 9 and see who's there. If you're free just come along. _________________ WE'RE DOOMED!

| Thanks to everyone for their company on the run to Ullapool today. Too many to mention but you know who you are. We had a grand run despite the cold at the beginning - brrr! By Grantown I was ready for a hot bacon and egg roll and a mug of coffee. After a quick head count we were off again towards Inverness. Arrived at Ullapool for lunch - what a lovely little place and the ride from Inverness to Ullapool was fantastic. Scenery was spectacular and the weather was lovely and dry. It was quite mild in Ullapool as it happens. We could have easily eaten our lunch outside. Luckily they had room for us all in the pub. Mad run back to get home before the temp dropped but made it just as the sun was setting over Bennachie. We did just short of 300 miles so I reckon that's my last long run of the year. I think the weather has definitely turned a corner towards winter today - some of the countryside was decidely frosty and Christmassy - the roads thank God were still black! _________________ WE'RE DOOMED!

| Although I have been many times in the past the scenery was still stunning. From the frost covered trees to the stillness and the colours of the loch, make a club calendar in itself. Thanks from all us for leading the run. KTROTR Dan |
